NYC’s Leathered are a rock ‘n’ roll band with post-punk, garage and shoegaze stylings composed of singer and guitarist Amanda B. Jun, bassist Edward Anthony and percussionist Carter Logan (also of SQÜRL). Leathered’s 2022 full length, A Reckoning was recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and co-produced by Jeff Berner (Psychic TV). With influences spanning from Jeff Buckley to The Pretenders to the Jesus & Mary Chain, A Reckoning was featured as a Bandcamp “New and Notables” for its “[b]lown-out, blissed-out, near-shoegazey rock & roll from this great Brooklyn group, clanging guitars and gigantic melodies”. The band was aptly described by The Big Takeover as “…kicky Americana twang, along with some charming melodic pop numbers.” freewheeling and resonant…spirited rock ’n’ roll.” Their forthcoming full length album is anticipated in late 2025.
